1. Motivating/Inspiring Personality

This honours individuals whose faith, words, and lifestyle serve as a source of upliftment, encouragement, and inspiration. These persons ignite faith and passion in others, often exemplifying faith in challenging circumstances.

2. The Compassionate Personality

This category honours individuals in the Christendom who exemplify compassion as taught by Christ, showing deep sympathy, empathy, and selflessness towards others, especially the needy and suffering.

3. Health-Oriented Church/Organization

This category honours churches and organizations that champion the physical, mental and emotional well-being of their members and communities. It recognizes those who demonstrate strong leadership in health education, preventive care, wellness programs, medical outreach and holistic development. It also celebrates institutions that invest in long-term health infrastructure, including clinics, health centres and medical facilities especially in underserved areas.

Scope:

  • Health Infrastructure: Building, operating or supporting clinics, health centres, community hospitals and mobile medical units to improve national healthcare access.
  • Health Education: Running seminars, workshops, wellness programs and awareness campaigns that promote nutrition, fitness, hygiene and preventive lifestyles.
  • Medical Outreach: Offering free screenings, medical outreaches, blood donation drives and extending health support to rural and underserved communities.
  • Partnership & Support Services: Collaborating with hospitals, health professionals, NGOs and government agencies, while providing counseling, emotional wellness programs and emergency response systems.
  • 4. Education-Oriented Church/organizations

    This category honours churches/organizations that actively contribute to the educational sector, particularly emphasizing their support and development of educational institutions.

    Scope:

    The focus is exclusively on the Primary/Basic school sector.

    Metrics:

    • Provision and management of scholarships for students.
    • Development and maintenance of educational infrastructure.
    • Inclusivity policies ensuring equitable access.
    • Student academic performance and examination results.
    • Teacher-student ratio ensuring quality attention.
    • Teacher certification and qualifications.
    • Attrition rates among students and teachers.

    5. The Evangelistic Organization

    An evangelistic church is defined as one that intentionally and consistently disseminates the message of salvation through Jesus Christ. This is measured by organized outreach efforts and personal witness activities.

    Metrics:

    • Number of outreach programs conducted.
    • Ability to retain new converts ("souls").
    • Quality and effectiveness of the modes of sharing the gospel (empirical assessment).
    • Existence of Christian media houses and Christian literature.

    6. Christian Performing Arts

    This category is divided into three subgroups, all emphasizing longevity, public appeal, and the spiritual message in their respective fields.

    Subgroup A: Gospel Music Group

    A collective of Christian musicians/vocalists performing gospel music.

    Metrics:

    • Message of salvation in music.
    • Number of hit songs.
    • Longevity of over the years with sustained relevance.
    • Creation of original music.

    Subgroup B: Notable Gospel Artiste

    An individual musician performing gospel music.

    Metrics:

    • Individual artiste status.
    • At least 20 years of active relevance.
    • Writes original music with a salvation message.
    • Hit songs and strong public appeal.

    Subgroup C: Notable Artist (Visual/Performing Arts)

    A visual or performing artist creating Christian-themed works embodying Christian beliefs and values.

    Metrics:

    • At least 20 years of sustained relevance.
    • Artwork or performances conveying a message of salvation.
    • Creates works considered "hit" within the community.
    • Public appeal and recognition.

    7. Special Honours

    This category includes several distinct special honors recognizing unique contributions and legacies.

    (i) African Christian Personality

    Honours distinguished Africans (non-Ghanaian) who embody Christian values and makes significant contributions to church and society mainly in Ghana.

    (ii) Religio-Politico Voice

    A person whose religious authority intersects with political influence, speaking or acting impartially to shape governance, law, and society grounded in faith principles.

    (iii) Posthumous Honour

    Given to deceased individuals who had significant influence on nation, church, and society, leaving strong legacies within the last 35 to 40 years.

    8. The Influential Personality

    This category recognizes individuals based on their capacity to influence decisions, actions, and opinions nationally and within the wider Christendom. Influence is understood beyond mere prominence to encompass tangible service and impact on church and community.
